please tell me why he decided to open his mouth about Hillarys emails.. Just heard the interview he gave... In so many words he stated that we have someone who is running for the President of the U.S. who is hiding emails and should be in jail... Not sure about the wording, but that really pissed me off..
I bet someone got to him concerning his gut feeling about the current Black Lives Matter Issue and advised him to include Clintons email situation.. Im thinking someone from the front office..
What do you guys think? Do you think that Colin was thinking about Hillarys bullshit emails when he sat through the National Anthem? Just saying...

(7,906 posts)He's doing what he can to get his name out there.
If he were actually a starting NFL QB, I would give him kudos, but Colin seems to be all about Colin.
I'm happy that he is an ally of the Black Lives Matter Movement.
But I could care less whether he stands or sits during the National Anthem.
He's making it about himself. Meh
He could do so much more to draw attention to a great cause. And he has the money and fame to do so much more.

(8,515 posts)I just couldnt figure it out.. O.K. i may be wrong...but when he started talking about Clintons emails?
I knew he was full of shit... Sad situation.. especially because if hes cut? There aint gonna be anyone wholl will want him...Unusual situation.. Fucked from the left and the right...probably equally..
You know when a Black Well Known Athlete talk about Black Lives Matter and takes action? That takes guts, but when he does it just to attract attention and then cover themselves by playing safe w/o knowing any facts.. Then Fuck em!

(11,257 posts)It's convenient that he only decided to take a stand after his hold on his roster spot - much less the starting position - became tenuous.
This starting spot is gone, now he is fighting for the second spot on the team and his position is tenuous. So there are two guys fighting for the third and final spot, and his is one of the two.
He is carrying a big contract, is and this point is fighting for second team, (Maybe) or a spot on the team. And HE SUCKED in the game yesterday.
I don't give a flying fuck what he does, but he appears to be wanting to draw the spotlight to himself. BTW, HIT THE WIDE OPEN TIGHT END IN THE SUPER BOWL AND YOU ARE LIKELY A SB WINNER AND NOT IN THIS SPOT COLIN!

(12,392 posts)He has the right to think and do as he pleases. Many have died to give him that privilege. I have the right to think he's an ass. Sorry if anyone finds that offensive.

(6,974 posts)Is about DONE.
People on social media and in news publications are commenting on his stance STILL, and MANY seem more angry at him than they probably were @ Bush/Darth Cheney who lead this country into an illegal war in Iraq on LIES which cost thousands of innocent lives--military and civilian--and which put this country into a near depression that we were lucky to at least get our head above to the mid-back thanks to Pres. Obama. Kaepernick had the right to sit the bench during the National Anthem if he thought it would call attention to the horrible deaths of minorities due to police malfeasance, (And from what I know about him, he was outspoken about other social and civil rights issues in college where he was a very good student who graduated from college with is Bachelor's Degree in Business Management), but him throwing Hillary into the mix and mentioning that she should be in jail without KNOWING the entire situation surrounding her email situation shows his petulance and rush to speak about certain things he knows nothing about BEFORE thinking them through which IS going to lead to him paying an extremely heavy price for bench-sitting during the National Anthem.
I hope for his sake he's used his business management degree to invest/save his monies from pro-football that he's made during his professional career, because the below gif is what I see happening with his career moving forward:

Colin Kaepernick has suddenly become the most controversial player in the NFL because of his refusal to stand for the national anthem. But there may be another issue that could cost him his job in San Francisco: Hes not a very good quarterback.
Jay Glazer said on FOX that the 49ers are deeply concerned with Kaepernicks decline as a player, which started last season when he struggled before getting benched, then got even worse this offseason when he lost significant muscle mass when he couldnt work out following multiple surgeries.
Regardless of politics or not, he has a very, very big uphill battle to make this team, Glazer said. Id be shocked if hes on the 49ers by the time this season ends. It has nothing to do with political views whatsoever. He lost a ton of weight this offseason, had three surgeries, couldnt work out, lost that double threat, that size-speed ratio. No political views, he just hasnt been effective. Hes regressing as a player. Id be shocked if hes on this roster by the end of this year. He may not be on it in the next two weeks.
Kaepernicks contract guarantees him an $11.9 million salary this season, and ordinarily a player with an $11.9 million guaranteed salary isnt going to get cut. But if the 49ers really think Kaepernick has regressed to the point where theyd be better off with Blaine Gabbert starting and Christian Ponder and Jeff Driskel backing Gabbert up, then they can save a little money by cutting Kaepernick and hoping he signs with another team, as they would be able to reduce that $11.9 million by the amount of Kaepernicks salary with a new team.
So there are football reasons that the 49ers might want to get rid of Kaepernick. At this point, they probably wish they had done so before this weekends non-football controversy.

(8,419 posts)I watched his performance yesterday, 2nd string is likely gone. So he is in battle for the third and final spot. (assuming the 49ers decide to keep 3 QBs currently on the roster)
Now, his ability to hit receivers has always been a weakness, his ability to find the second receiver ALWAYS SUCKED. His ability to run and make plays scrambling was the key to his ability to play. Yesterday he sucked, AND I MEAN SUCKED, at making plays scrambling. His speed appears to be gone and that was the ONLY thing that made him a viable NFL QB. As stated above, he truly SUCKED in the other key skills.
Why would the 49ers keep him at third string? What is the upside. He is so fucking ignorant (not regarding his current stance) that he didn't realize they didn't want him, while other teams were interested in taking a chance on him, but he refused to be traded and take his chance on other teams.
So now he decides to take a principled stance! Call me extremely skeptical.
As stated above, if you had the ability to find the second receiver he hits a TE and wins a Super Bowl, he can't and is going to be out of football, not due to his current stance, rather due to his talent.

(36,444 posts)The idiot is a $11.9 million albatross hanging around the 49ers neck. They will bite the bullet and cut him and hope another team is stupid enough picks him up on the rebound to recoup SOME of the $11.9 million. Gabbert , Ponder and Driskel will be the three QB's. Ponder looked fantastic last week, and he had been with the team, and the playbook, a whopping four days!

(3,784 posts)Color me utterly unsurprised.
Whether you got your money from being a star athlete, pumping oil out of the ground, investment banking, ripping off the little guy, or simply inheriting it from your daddy, the one thing rich people have in common is their main concerns are: 1) holding onto their money, and 2) amassing more.

(8,515 posts)Comes up with the opinion that she should be in jail for deleting emails.. i agree with you that he may have come up with that ignorant statement by himself... But its obvious he doesnt understand the facts of the matter.. I feel that he may have been prompted by someone in order to lessen the heat he was about to face from the fans...
Talk about emails and tell em Hillary belongs in jail
