Who benefits - mega/superstar croaks, it's only Hispanic/Mexican/Latino, so nobody knows/cares

Maybe, just maybe, if some candidate knew who it is, might mean some "relating" = *voting* but never mind. So who is it:

I thought you wanted an honest answer.

Yes, the only reason I knew is because of friends who were fans, so that means I have not seen any mention of it in the MSM. I thought my post kind of substantiated your point, but I don't think that is how you took it.

5. Really....I know that "Justin Beiber" is a famous American singer,

(well, North American, since Canada can be blamed for him) but the only song I know that he sang was that Baby Baby Baby OOOOOOOOH one that is often used to MOCK him.

If someone said "For a million dollars, name three Beiber songs" I couldn't do it. I'd be babbling Baby Baby Oh Shit Gawddamnit, million bucks, someone help me, crap, damn BZZZZZZ=Time's up!!!! Here's your consolation prize....dinner for 2 at the OLIVE GARDEN, and THANKS for playing!!!

Grrrrrrr!

I'll bet a lot of people don't know who Mortaeza Pashaei was either (Persian singer). He had millions of fans on every continent, died young of cancer not quite 2 years ago, there was a huge outpouring of grief. No coverage in the MSM, though.

Ya like what ya like....ya know what you've been exposed to...

those men.

Some men are wearing hijab in solidarity to make a point--and telling everyone how much it sucks:

I just thought it was an odd response so I thought you were being facetious. Chalk it up to the limitations of type-written responses between strangers.

Now got to deal with a fellow vet. & one finger posting by phone keying. Connection probs with modem or router or whatevers. See, I'm sincere. Now curious why I come across "odd." Never mind.

The OP was Greek to me, even though I'd seen the news of Juan Gabriel's passing. I really had no idea what this was about until I saw your post. You must have ESPN or something.

And I know you pride yourself on your own inimitable style. It is only ocasionally when you fail to make your meaning clear. I've done that myself--unintentionally.

Abraham:  Listen, being Mexican-American is tough. Anglos jump all over you if you don’t speak English perfectly. Mexicans jump all over you if you don’t speak Spanish perfectly. We gotta be twice as perfect as anybody else.

Abraham:  Our family has been here for centuries. And yet they treat us as if we just swam across the Rio Grande. I mean, we gotta know about John Wayne and Pedro Infante. We gotta know about Frank Sinatra and Agustín Lara. We gotta know about Oprah and Cristina. Anglo food is too bland. And yet when we go to Mexico, we get the runs. Now that, to me, is embarrassing.

Abraham:  Japanese-Americans, Italian-Americans, German-Americans, their homeland is on the other side of the ocean. Ours ... is right next door. Right over there. And we gotta prove to the Mexicans how Mexican we are. And we gotta prove to the Americans how American we are. We gotta be more Mexican than the Mexicans and more American than the Americans, both at the same time. It's exhausting. Damn. Nobody knows how tough it is to be a Mexican American."

I also make it a practice to not comment on celebrity deaths (or politics, for that matter) because I do not believe the lives (or opinions) of celebrities merit greater weight than the lives of billions who aren't paid to sing, dance, or act.
