Many thanks to our host, host helpers, participants and voters! I love several of the other entries, didn't think I'd win this one.



I have to say that this picture was a fine capture, I just had a feeling as I was approaching that one lane bridge out in the Absaroka/Beartooth Wilderness that I should cross slowly and quietly... and I was blessed with this view. Because I had that feeling, I had my camera in hand, had the opportunity to get several quick shots and then left them in peace before they decided I was a threat.

I love my summer job! I was at work when I caught these two... truly luck was smiling on me that day.

Thanks everyone! I now have to decide if I have time to run the September contest, still working until at least 10/1.

I try to keep my camera handy for catching deer shots around here, too, but have never gotten anything close to what you captured! That's a treasure.

Both of those photos are moments in time--you either get the shot or you don't--unlike
my shot where I made my husband (sorry, not Bernie!) walk (numerous times!) through this great fountain we discovered
in Seattle on our way back from dinner one night while I tried to frame just the right shot. Then I discovered after I got
it up on my laptop that it worked really well as B&W.
