Yesterday, on MSNBC, I think it was on Hardball, Steve Karnaci brought on Hugh Hewitt AGAIN. Hewitt's smile gives me the creeps. He looks like a smiling mortician trying to sell me the most expensive casket in my time of grief. Hewitt actually said that Trump had a really good week this week, and Trump looked so presidential in Mexico. Are you kidding me! Karnacki just let Hewitt run on with his golden praise of Trump. Well I'm not going to listen to that bunk, much less look at Hewitt's insipid smile. I changed the channel in disgust. Gosh that guy gives me the creeps. Karnacki, you disappoint me. You're a better journalist than that. And surely you're a better person?

(6,022 posts)nell. Karnacki wants to be the new Mr. 538. He's a terrible interviewer and he doesn't call people on their B.S. He seems to only care about playing with numbers.

(8,515 posts)Just lets all his right wing guests say what they want... Essentially changing the subject by spewing the typical right wing lies concerning Hillary..
This is their typical segway (sic) I dont know why we are not talking about Hillary Clintons dishonesty and lies and he lets them go on and on..

(2,108 posts)Used to be a bastion for progressives.
Used to be the place for politics that made sense, that made the effort to dig deeper into the headlines and sound bites of the day to reveal kernels of truth.
Used to be panels that were mostly smart progressives, now they present a steady stream of mostly republican spokespersons.
It's become the television version of click bait, but I guess it pulls in the ratings and pleases the ownership.
And while there are greater ills in this world, I mourn the loss of MSNBC.
you are 100% correct. I suppose MSNBC is trying to be Faux News Light. I only watch in the evening, 8:00-11:00 Chris Matthews really irritates me and can not stomach Hardball. It's more like Softball, for the rethugs that get free reign to spew their half truths and, mostly, straight out lies. It really is sickening. In 2008 they were pro Obama. I think Universal owned then, or GE. Since Comca$t bought them they've been trending right. Sad!!
