Lena Dunham finally apologizes to Odell Beckham Jr after cringeworthy interview

Girls mastermind Lena Dunham is offering an olive branch to New York Giants player Odell Beckham Jr., her seatmate at this year's Met gala, for comments she made about him in Friday's Lenny Letter.

In an interview with Amy Schumer, she recalled that she felt as though Beckham Jr. were judging her. "He looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards," she told the comedian. "He was like, 'That’s a marshmallow. That’s a child. That’s a dog.'"

She continued pretending to read his mind, saying, "The vibe was very much like … ‘Is it wearing a … yep, it’s wearing a tuxedo. I’m going to go back to my cell phone.”

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Dunham says she took her own insecurities about her appearance and projected them onto him, making "totally narcissistic assumptions about what he was thinking, then presented those assumptions as facts. I feel terrible about it."

Glad she had the decency to apologize. Her remarks were unreal and quite frankly smacked of racism.
