"The Intrepid Museum was founded in 1982 with the acquisition of the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, now a National Historic Landmark, which served tours of duty in World War II and the Vietnam War, and was a recovery vessel for the Gemini and Mercury space missions."

Seems to me that the whole point of making the concept of the "Intrepid" into a prop and background for the event is to use it as a reference point for the aircraft carrier. And Tweety drools over any manly thing like this, whether he knows what it is or not.

Have you seen those guys on the aircraft carrier decks dressed in Goofy Grape and Loud Mouth Lime and Rootin' Tootin' Raspberry?

Just kidding, my Navy friend. My niece's husband served in the Gulf on the Enterprise. And my dad was Navy in WWII.
