(CNN) -- President Barack Obama warned Thursday against becoming immune to Donald Trump's outlandish statements. "People start thinking behavior that in normal times we would consider completely unacceptable and outrageous becomes normalized," he said.
"People think we should be grading on a curve," Obama said. "This is serious business. You actually have to know what you're talking about and you have to actually have done your homework and when you speak, it should actually reflect through out policy you can implement."
He said he hadn't wavered in his view that Trump is unqualified to succeed him in the Oval Office.
"Every time he speaks that opinion is confirmed," Obama said during a news conference at the tail end of his visit to Laos.
