To all those furious at the corporate media, here's what you can do to fight back:

Stop watching. It's really as simple as that. Get as many of your friends to stop watching as well. Boycott the hell out of them and write them and let them know why. Too many people think they need to watch the news so they can dissect it and understand it, and then, maybe, somehow beat it. You can't. Not that way.

I've read figures that slightly less than half of all of Faux News's viewers are liberals who tune in to see "what the enemy is up to." Those liberals are giving Faux millions of dollars of advertising by doing so. Believe me, Faux cares way more about making money than they do about some blogger catching them in a lie. If all those liberals suddenly quit today, Faux would lose a huge chunk of its audience. And that's a whole lotta money in advertising.

And if you really do feel the need to check in and see what they're up to, there's plenty of blogs, vlogs, and youtube vids of people who will watch corporate media so you don't have to to fill you in on their latest outrages. Use them, lower your blood pressure, and turn off cable news. You will be happier as a person and world will be a better place.

I haven't had a TV for decades now. You are spot on with accessing other sources via the Innertubes.

trump spewing hate and demonstrating bigotry - as the slime came out from under every rock, we do not watch cable, or local news - oh, we will check in with Lawrence - or Joy - every now and then - but we are Red Sox fans (retired in AZ from Mass) so we decided to treat ourselves this year to the MLB package..it has been a wonderful ride so far...up, down and all around - (okay, sometimes not good for the blood pressure LOL)

Be well all - this is great advise....

They have writers who appear to do nothing but watch Fox and then write articles about how outraged they are. On any given day, there are at least five different links to Fox on Salon. That shit wouldn't fly if Joan Walsh were still there, I know that much.

It's one of the biggest reasons I stopped reading Salon. That, and their ignorant Stein boosting and untreated (and malignant) Hillary Derangement Syndrome.
