The mainstream media has finally embarked upon the road to CrapDom !!

CNN just like NBC and others MUST confront politicians lies. Outright lies. It is their duty to make sure they do not assist politicians spread verifiable misinformation & lies via their media outlets. Whether it's TV, Radio or Newspapers. By not confronting these politicians, they are in effect enabling this bad behavior. The media seems to have taken the position that it is the responsibility of the viewer & reader to ascertain fact from fiction. And THAT continues the dumbing down of the electorate. This dis-association from the truth by the media is very disturbing. The Fox News sickness is spreading in favor of viewership !!

Make them edit politicians words with fact checked reporting. There is really no reason why they are allowed to talk and have their BS spread on cable or TV etc. They edit the footage so why not simply add a fact check?

Real reporting.

(FCC), introduced in 1949, that required the holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was — in the Commission's view — honest, equitable, and balanced. The FCC eliminated the Doctrine in 1987, and in August 2011 the FCC formally removed the language that implemented the Doctrine.[1]'

But they say that now they belong to the cable companies so therefore they are allowed to do most anything they want.

However, they don't show adult oriented movies on HBO during the middle of the day. I assume there is some regulations for this.
So, my questions is this: Since lies can hurt the country, the world, our children, etc.. why is it out of bounds to point out lies told during a Presidential debate?
This is kind of important stuff, MSM.
