I am not sure I can take the next 61 or 62 days. My nerves may not be able to handle it.

That happened with me in 2000. It was my first year of retirement, so the first time ever of having media on all day, with Tweety being even worse than he is now along with all the rest of them, so the intensity grew all year.
I leaped to Early-Vote, and then that last couple of weeks I was jumping out of my skin. So I decided to visit far away relatives.
Guess where.
Florida. More specifically: Miami.
Yes, on Election Night I was camped at my aunt's living room. Am *not* doing that get-away thing again.

(4,533 posts)Bush was deadly because he had skilled henchmen like Cheney, Condaleeza, Rumsfeld, a murderer's row. Trump would not be able to delegate and would flop.

(7,570 posts)The scary thing is, if the Republicans don't get their asses thoroughly kicked in this election, they are going to choose a candidate next time that will make even Trump look reasonable and distinguished.

I am amazed the country survived Bush, easily the worst President of my lifetime; and I lived through Nixon, Reagan, and Bush I.
"Miss" is far too strong a word in this context.
