3. It Puts Money In Their Pockets...

Step One: Attempt to embarass the President or make an outrageous statement/claim
Step Two: Hate Radio and Faux Noise pick up on it and echo it around...turning the person who makes the statement into the victim from the ugly, bully President or Democrat
Step Three: Piss and Moan for Several Days over the electrons and turn this into a personal issue where the poor "victim" needs to be defended
Step Four: Appeal for the cash, bring the "victim" on for interviews and make them an instant cause cellebre...the great unhinged grab their checkbooks and the money flows in
Step Five: Rinse and repeat

The irrational hatred for this President had been cultivated like a fine pearl...the sand spread long ago and now it's being milked for all its worth. Years of right wing lies and talking points have burned in so deep that the unhinged all but expect regular outrages...and I expect we'll see a lot more of these type of stunts in the months ahead...the dirty tricksters also will benefit from Citizens United...
