Sometimes the anxiety of knowing what I and so many of us know - about the economy, about the importance of healthcare, the massive importance of the Supreme Court - sometimes I wish I were uninformed and just didn't care, so I could go blissfully on with my life and not worry about the effects of the inexplicable Trump supporters and their votes.
I hope and pray that Hillary wins so that I can have a year or two to just enjoy myself, unfettered by worry about our nation's future.
Is it just me?

(107 posts)I feel the same way. I get this way every four years. I always tell myself, I won't get so involved next time. It never works. Drives my husband nuts.

(1,203 posts)I've been on this site daily since before the 2000 election, although don't post much. My go to spot for the news. This election makes 2000 look like nothing. The media is my biggest issue. If Trump were just held to Hillary's standards, it would not be a contest. I am so sick of the blatant lies, the immediately projecting on Hillary what is said of him, and how his brain dead supporters lap it all up.
I admit to being addicted to following this, so just walking away is not much of an option. The sordid, racist underbelly of this country that is moving to the forefront because of this clown (who I have NEVER liked, when he started becoming known in the 80's, egotistical blowhard is all I could think of him) scares the crap out of me.
So no, it's not just you, sometimes ignorance is bliss.
