that he's the handsomest grandfather around. He smiled and said the same as Sen. Franken said: "Just when I thought life couldn't get better, I have grandchildren."

9. At my 20th reunion, almost everyone had...

...kids in at least middle and high school, and a few had kids in college.

I was a few weeks pregnant with our first, at age 38. Had a second one at age 41.

Al got me into liberal politics in the first place, so I'm a huge fan.

One time my flight attendant mother met him on her plane and she called me. I got to speak to him for a while. Later, when he attended a meeting of Illinois democrats, I approached him and had him sign my copy of Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them. It's my prized possession.
