Current Act That Gives Families Unpaid Leave Was Passed Under Clinton

Today, Ivanka Trump went on Good Morning America has criticized Hillary Clinton for not enacting paid family leave during her time in office. However, the current unpaid family leave was enacted under President Bill Clinton. I realize unpaid family leave is not the same as paid family leave, but it shows the Clinton's did try to improve the family leave situation for many families. Ivanka Trump also mentioned that her and her father's companies have paid family leave. She failed to mentioned that New York state passed a law this year requiring paid family leave.

I do not know what the interviewer on GMA did, but CBS anchor, Major Garrett, at the end of his report, stated that Trump's plan only covered women for six weeks while Clinton's plan covered both men and women for 12 weeks. Also, at the bottom of the GMA article it is stated that Clinton has a plan that call for 12 weeks of paid family leave.

that my wife and I have to work for a fucking living and unpaid leave is such a fucking joke. We laughed and laughed and laughed and then went to work. Like too many times during the fucking 90s the joke was yet again on us.
