?cache=kydxnnx7hjAn advisory board to the Bureau of Land Management suggested Friday that the agency should euthanize about 45,000 wild horses and burros that are currently captive in holding facilities, and animal rights groups are condemning the recommendation.
Groups including the Humane Society of the United States and In Defense of Animals say accepting the recommendation would betray the BLMs responsibility to the horses.

We could just let them breed on until they eat all the flora, create dust-bowl conditions, then ultimately starve. Much better. Maybe those opposed could adopt them all. I hear horses are cheap and easy to keep.

If they do slaughter the animals, I hope their carcasses can be put to good use.
I just looked up horse recipes and I had no idea the Japanese do a horse sashimi -- aka basashi.
BasashiPic I know some people are easilily upset at the idea of eating horse.
