I caught the tail end of his visit to a church in Flint, and the flop sweat was painfully visible. He made a lame joke or "observation" about "how cars used to be made in Flint & you couldn't drink the water in Mexico. Nowadays, cars are made in Mexico and you can't drink the water in Flint." Crickets. Not. One. Reaction. He immediately riffed into a lame attack on Hillary. He was just getting wound up when the pastor, an African American woman, came out, tapped him on the shoulder and told him to stop, reminding him that this was supposed to be a visit to discuss the water crisis, not politics. It totally threw him and he never recovered. He was completely flummoxed. It was hilarious. I hope there's tape somewhere.
