Clinton will destroy Trump in the debates

It's her best chance to reassert control of this race, and she'll take full advantage.

I say this because Trump's sit down with Matt Lauer was the most pathetic and embarrassing performance I've ever seen from a presidential candidate in my life. It was 30 minutes of comedy no sitcom could even dream of reproducing.

We'd still be talking about it were it not for Hillary's weekend from hell.

My only concern is that Kerry destroyed Dubya in their debates ("You forgot Poland!&quot and it did absolutely nothing for him.

he would/will show up. But three debates? I can't see it. Trump has such a short attention span (among other things).

Makes it much harder for a win for HRC. Her debate prep needs to be centered on getting him to get off script and lose his cool. Her having a command of the policy side will not alone get her a win. He slayed 15 other dragons easily, some of which did know their shit.

his debate performances, not because of them.

He'll be speaking to a far less friendly(and significantly larger) audience this time around.

Trump will spew his usual nonsensical gibberish and, unlike the suckass media that has coddled him for 15 months, someone on stage WILL be correcting him every time he lies, exaggerates, changes the subject, or gives foolish answers.

It's going to be beautiful.

Trump will be graded on a curve in the debate.

All he has to do is not:

1) Pledge eternal loyalty to Comrade Putin;
2) Soil his drawers;
3) foam at the mouth;
4) use a racial slur

and the media will talk about how presidential he was in tone, without regard to the substance.

He's an accomplished television performer. He's an entertainer by trade.

Expectations should be much higher for him than they are.

Substance is completely irrelevant at Presidential debates. It's all about stagecraft and how the voters feel when watching them.

Trump is better at that stuff than Clinton is.

Go down after the Lauer debacle. That is a lie, and it's not your first one.

Trump's momentum halted with his performance, only for HRC to give the momentum back with her bad weekend.

But no, Trump did not come out unscathed with his performance. It was brutal and the media had a field day with his stupid comments.

...they will stack the deck against her asking about her health, emails, etc. Not one single genuine policy question will be asked. Questions for Trump will be about if he intends to still build that wall, does he disavow David Duke, etc. There's no money in a landslide victory, they need to drag out the election as long as possible to keep people glued to the TV.

for his el ridiculously biased performance last week. He caused permanent damage to his career.

There's no way the moderators will play favorites after that debacle. I don't expect them to factcheck Donald, but that's where Sec Clinton comes in.
