Just how poor is Patrick Murphy?

Judging by the emails I get all day every day begging for money he's running his campaign with nothing more than soda bottles and crushed aluminum cans.

And whatever he gets he seems to only be spending on more emails. Because I sure haven't seen any TV ads for him. His opposition is HAMMERING him though. I have seen at least 3 different ones making fun of him and I see them several times a night on several channels.

I didn't even vote for him so I don't know why he keeps asking me for money.

I guess I'll vote for him over Rubio. But damn, it would be nice if he'd show up.

Probably because I live in a very red part of Fl and they don't want to waste money here. I also think they may be saving their ammo until a month out, (which is next week) or just before early voting begins. No TV ads either yet, just one that airs constantly around the time the local news is on about Murphy's lies about being a certified public account and a "small business owner." This one is put out by the Republican Senatorial Committee.

one where a fake Murphy is trying to prep for a commercial and they make him stick to the script and a couple where they just say they can't trust someone who lies about his work experience and such...

As much as they accuse him of lying you'd think they were talking about Trump.

Apparently he put down he was an accountant but never practiced or took the CPA test. Not sure why he isn't fighting the charges against him. Hillary will need major coat tails to get him across the line. I can't stand why Democratic Party always puts up these former republicans who basically just switched parties. Doesn't make sense. I voted for Pam Keith in the primary. She'd be crushing Rubio. Another lost opportunity.

4. Murphy did get licensed as a CPA in Colorado

"Murphy says he is a CPA. Murphy has never been a licensed CPA in Florida."

Summary: This one has some nuance. Murphy started at Deloitte in Miami 2007 as an "audit assistant." The ad omits that he did get his CPA license -- but in Colorado. He could not sign off on audits in Florida since he didn’t have his Florida license, but he still was a CPA.

Murphy often touted his work as a CPA and acknowledged during his 2012 campaign that his license was from Colorado after his opponent attacked him for it.

<SNIP>

He started at Deloitte in Florida 2007 as an audit assistant. He applied for his CPA license from Colorado in 2009; at the time Colorado required fewer semester credits than Florida.

After he obtained the license in September 2009, he was promoted to "audit senior" and left in May 2010.

I'm not a Murphy fan but technically he is/was licensed as a CPA and worked as an auditor.

The same page also discusses the claims that Murphy was a small business owner. He is/was an partial owner of the family company - depending on the size of the business it could be considered a "small business" since the IRS definition of a "small business" includes assets of $10 million or less.

when I heard the ad attack him for "never been licensed in Florida"...

I didn't know a thing about him and I don't know squat-diddly about how CPA's work or their licensing but still I thought "So? was he licensed anywhere else?" Because the ad is worded so you'd think he lied about being a CPA when he clearly didn't.

I hope Fla Dem is right and they are saving up for a big push closer to election day but it gets tiring hearing him bashed all night every night by liars calling him a liar and no push-back.

and I do watch a lot of tv lol. Now, I guess I could have skipped it as most of my TV watching is DVR and I FF through commercials but even doing that I've still managed to see a ton of anti-Murph ads.

Oh and that excruciating Amazon ad with the dog dressed up like a lion. It is so painful to hear I almost cancelled my Prime.

On the plus side I have seen some good ads for Hillary.

Murphy should have rented a llama for his ad!

(I kept wondering why an ad with Marco Polo would have a llama, then I finally realized it was surprising... )

The llama puts over the top.

That's why when Murphy's people did that take off it caught my attention. Murphy should have rented a llama for his ad!

His father put a million dollars into SuperPacs supporting his campaign. I'm not saying Grayson would be doing any better. But Murphy has been a disaster of a candidate so far.

This one basically accusing Murphy of creating ISIS because he supported the Iran deal. All I could do was laugh.
