I've heard that a company can pay to remove bad reviews from glassdoor.com

Didn't think this was true, but I just witnessed it.

This was a small company (less than 25 people), not a conglomerate. There were a number of bad reviews one day, and they were gone a few days later.

I did not write any of the bad reviews. My interaction with this company was positive. But I know who did and was told that they did not remove them.

One of the first things you see on their site is 'Your trust is our top concern, so companies can't alter or remove reviews.'

This is a lie.
