If your only response to a drubbing is at least you didn't crawl into the gutter, well I think that pretty much says it all.

Just how damn stupid do you think we are, Newt Gingrich?

We are obviously smart enough to figure you out, since you haven't held any office in what, 20 years?

Apophasis is a rhetorical device wherein the speaker or writer brings up a subject by either denying it, or denying that it should be brought up.[1] Accordingly, it can be seen as a rhetorical relative of irony.

Not that the slime that is Newt would know the difference...over and over again, Dumb Donald and Crew pretend that he should be honored for not being as stupid, crass and deplorable as he COULD be! "Look at me, I followed the laws against discrimination! See how good I am????"

"She was a nine, or even maybe a ten. Really, really hot. Believe me. And I didn't rape her. I could have. I wanted to, but didn't. I didn't rape her, so I deserve praise for that."

of when Romney was running, all of the sudden all his surrogates on TV were using the phrase "family man" to describe him. Those exact words, over and over by many different people. Now Trump surrogates are doing the same thing with "gentleman" - I've heard it on TV several times the past couple days. Difference is, Romney actually was a "family man" and seemed truly invested in his family. Trump is no gentleman or family man.
