Some of the early tracks showed Matthew possibly coming right through the center of the state.
We weren't living here in 1996 when Hurricane Fran came through, leaving UNC's drinking water undrinkable for a week!
Historic buildings on campus were damaged, too.

Left the state, and the country yesterday for three weeks. I'm watching everything nervously from afar. Hard to tell yet just how it will be by time it gets to NC. Bad for Florida under most scenarios, but this is still a strange forecast. All those circle backs in many model run!
