"Climate denial is unacceptable
Unless you happen to be a Climatologist. Politicians who deny are either exceptionally stupid (people like Bachmann and Inhofe) or worse, they are corrupt. I happen to believe that mankind is fast approaching a turning point in its battle against its own stupidity.
Donald Trump, bless him, will force people to take a side and ask themselves a simple questionam I a bigoted moron? The beautiful thing about this question is that even if one lacks the prerequisite introspection, the rest of society will now be able to unassailably argue that yes, you the Trumpeteer are guilty as charged.
I have made the case here, and in numerous detailed pieces of research, that within five years it will become blatantly obvious that oil and its fossilized advocates will be beaten. This is all really exciting, but will salvation come in time? Yes, I am optimistic in general, but sadly we still live in 2016 and are several months away from the most pivotal US election of our lives, which is likely to lead to a new oil-free, Trump-free, Stupidparty-free, age of enlightenmentso we must stay centered and look at the here and now. We must look at todays scary reality, for today we still live in Stupidparty land."

We have already passed that turning point. Due to our lack of acceptance the window for action on climate change to make any real dent or mitigate what lay ahead has come and gone. We are now above an avg. of 400ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere. The temperature will catch up as it has for hundreds of thousands of years and it will be greater than the supposedly safe 2C increase. The rise will go right past that and as it does the really, really bad "greenhouse" gas will begin to be released and once that starts it is anyone guess just how bad it will get.
Future generations will look back and rightly hold us in utter contempt for our stupidly on this issue. Contempt for our inability to set aside partisan posturing and childish behavior like bringing snowballs on the senate floor as proof climate change is not real.
