(171,091 posts)we really dodged a bullet. Other than foliage, I made out ok. Lots of anxiety and more gray hairs, but I am well and truly grateful I had a home to return to. How 'bout you? He skirted Jamaica?

(269,157 posts)during the hurricane watch. Lights didn't even flicker. There's some minor road damage in a few parishes.
On the other hand - poor Haiti. turns out all the warnings were necessary - it was a horrific hurricane with a significant loss of life.

(1,019 posts)want to let President Obama go either. Eternally grateful for him and his beautiful, intelligent, compassionate wife, Michelle. I also am grateful for VP Joe Biden and the team that Pres. Obama created that saved us from those horrible 8 years and the aftermath that resulted from W, Darth Cheney, Rove and all of the horrible people that were part of that regime.

(5,644 posts)Thanks for sharing. I love my President (but I think it's time for him to leave Chi-town he's messing up traffic). As they say in Chicago, we've got two seasons, winter and under construction! And now we've got the Chicago Marathon today, Cubs play-off and the President's here. Somebody's got to go.
