I was listening to the last few minutes of Morning Joe and they were pretty much writing Trump off. One man said (I couldn't see the TV at the time so don't know who was speaking) that even Trump Knows its over so he's only talking to the 30-33% of voters who remain loyal to him. Another man said, 'Yeah, Trump is running for President of Breitbart Nation'.
And the truth shall set you free!

(3,586 posts)Essentially praising him for not dropping out of the race. Said his campaign on the weekend was like someone dying in a gutter... but given the choice between that and getting a defibrillation that would hurt, but let him live, he was to be commended for that.
Which is ridiculous.
Trump's ego would never have let him drop out. he never considered dropping out for a moment.
Joe criticized those who said on Friday and over the weekend that the Trump campaign was over or dead. He say's it's not. Well, Joe, technically it's not because he didn't drop out. But you know full well that those analysts meant that he can't win... and you agree.
Joe said Trump would rather lose with 38% of the vote than drop out in early October... which is certainly true.

(8,377 posts)I think that may be shifting in a way that is quite significant. Faux never really knew how to handle Trump. They loved the idea that he had made himself into a right-wing flame-thrower. Under the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" theory, they mildly supported him. And that support continued when it looked like he had a chance to win the election.
But now, their coverage feels a lot different. Part of it is that Ailes is gone. But it seems that Faux is taking very seriously the rumors that Trump's alliance with Britebart is the first step toward setting up a TV network that really dishes out the red meat -- even more than Faux on its best day.
This is a very interesting dynamic. So many of Trump's core 20% listen to Faux all day long. If Faux decides, as a matter of self-interest and self-preservation, they must go after Trump hard the next 30 days, that could very easily take another 5% out of Trump's support.

(8,377 posts)I think we will see where Faux is headed on that one.
I have no idea what will happen, but I think it is possible that Wallace (representing Faux's new strategy) will go after Trump to expose him as not being a true conservative. "He is not one of us."

The Clinton Foundation is among the highest rated charities ANYWHERE -- way higher than Red Cross, Cancer Society and all the other ripoff "charities". Some of those most popular "charities" aren't much better than Trump's scam charity. Goodwill Industries is the absolute worst.
