Product brand names follow split between Dems and Rethugs: Hint, Rethugs live off FEAR

Republicans, Democrats Can't Even Agree On Coffee

.... Republicans, for example, are more likely to head to Dunkin' Donuts for their daily cup of Joe, while Democrats are more inclined to get their caffeine fix from Starbucks, according to a study released this week by the neuro-insight firm Buyology. ....

The Republican Party uses a similar fear-based tactic, telling voters that four more years of President Obama would be a disaster for the country. Republicans may be attracted to Allstate because both the party and the product build off of a similar emotion, said Buyology CEO Gary Singer.

It is a similar story for fast food restaurants. Subway, where you choose every aspect of your sandwich, was the chain of choice for Republicans, a party whose platform revolves around individual freedom.

Democrats, on the other hand, favored Wendy's, which Singer said can be seen as more democratic because they offer pre-fixed solutions to your hunger. It's as if Wendy's is saying, "We've got these answers and you pick which is best for you," Singer said. ....

I'm liberal to the core, but prefer Dunkin. It's cheaper and has a smoother taste.

Dukin' dognuts is owned by the Carlisle Group. You might want to find a local place to get your caffeine.....

One of those "you have to ask for it" things some companies have for seniors. Starbucks has a discount only, I believe.

I see Coke, Visa, Google, and Apple on both. Did I miss any?

This sounds like filler.

I do like that NFL is Dem, while MLB is repub.

Wasn't there a somewhat recent push to boycott Starbucks because they refused to prohibit concealed carry of firearms on their premesis? Starbucks basically said, "No. We'll allow people to carry guns where it's legal in that city/area."

First off, what the heck is "neuro-insight?" Sounds like that beverage brand they sell in stores where the different types/flavors are supposed to help different aspects of your brain (e.g. "Neurogasm," which I think isn't about anything sexual, but I could be wrong).

And "Buyology?" I hope that's just a lame pun on "biology" and not an actual attempt to make an "ology" out of consumerism.

effectiveness of specific ad campaigns with different psychological types, but when you bring brands into it, you're talking broad demographics.

If someone is more likely to buy Sony products, for instance, it's probably because they're more technology-oriented, younger, have a bit of spending cash, etc.
