(39,191 posts)my beloved ex, my handicapped sister with bad knees who needs a walker, MILLIONS of people with mobility issues can use this. The problem is, moving slower than a fast walk on uneven sidewalks or pavement is going to be interesting to say the least.

(46,709 posts)it doesn't look sturdy enough for that purpose. i.e. people with hip problems might have trouble leaning to one side or the other to get it to turn.

(11,304 posts)control rest place. It doesn't look comfortable. It's ok if your skinny but not heavy. I wouldn't use this outside. Sidewalks aren't good places to use this item. But I know around the house and your own yard where you are pretty knowledgeable about might be good. I have a sister that has really bad knees. This would be nice at home.

(39,191 posts)Your title is still offensive.

(46,709 posts)Changed the title just for you.
I've been reading several articles on the subject because I'm just a step or two away from health issues related to weight and diet. The term "obesity" was used in the articles, so I assume it was a valid term. Did not mean to offend.

(20,317 posts)No use for paraplegics, of course-- but it could be fantastic for a lot of other people with trouble getting around. I like how upright the rider is. Easy to reach things.

(46,709 posts)has trouble getting around? I think it should have something to hold you in.

(20,317 posts)Maybe they want a small unit for getting around the office, and use something beefier for the trip home.

(13,259 posts)or at least not completely un-fit. You would at least need decent balance, which is a big problem for many old people, and quite a bit of strength in core and back to use it for more than a few minutes.
