I have been thinking about how this election is an history making precedent like the Obama
Presidency.
The obvious thing to say is that it is an historical precedent that Hillary Clinton will be the first woman elected precedent but that would be only part of the story.
We might also say that the first woman president was elected as a result of the incredible coalescence of woman's support in an election cycle in which women are engaged at levels they have not been in the past.
But given the revelation of Trumps truly repugnant misogynist nature, so hateful of women that is almost cartoonish has opened the aperture to a truly historical political political development in America and maybe the world.
For that we can thank the unified voices of Natashia Stoynoff, Hillary Clinton herself but especially Michelle Obama
By saying this disgraceful treatment of women by all men who have power over women in the home and workplace must stop. It must stop now.
This is an election where women have gone on the record and declared the Great Refusal.
The Great Refusal states that if you do not respect girls and women in public and private you are not fit to be a spouse, employer, political representative.
Most importantly the Great Refusal states that unless you respect women in their persons and intellect then you are unfit to be the President of the United States
