That's why they didn't have any dirt on him during the primary. Dumbasses. They own the atrocity that is Donald.

He's gotten away with so much stuff, why would this be any different.

Additionally, I think that goes to show he never thought he'd get this far, never wanted to get this far, just wanted to put himself back in the public eye to help his profit margin.

Now he wants to be president because he can't be a "loser", his ultimate insult to anyone who isn't nice to him.

So the GOP probably thought he didn't need to be vetted because they thought it was going to be an easy victory for them.

11. His sordid past was bound to catch up with him eventually

Imagine if he made it into the White House and then the video came out. And then allegations of sexual assault came out. And then his taxes, and whatever nasty surprises they might reveal, finally became public.

How did he think he could avoid that forever? Maybe he figured if he had the power of the highest office he could silence his detractors, Putin-style.

He genuinely does not think he has to answer to anyone as long as that organization exists.

18. Vet Him Anyway

It seems some in his staff are making excuses. They could have vetted him without him knowing. All they had to do was google him. A series of videos and interviews would have surfaced. In addition, they could have dug up every recording of every one of his appearances on The Howard Stern Show. There were so many things the could have done without him knowing about their actions.
