Shellie Zimmerman: “It’s amazing how insignificant the things we stress out over are.”

George Zimmerman jail phone calls released
Man charged in Trayvon Martin death instructed wife to transfer money

“After this is all over, you’re going to be able to just have a great life,” Shellie Zimmerman said.

“We will,” George Zimmerman replied. “I’m excited.”

“Yeah, you should be. You should be excited,” Shellie Zimmerman said.

“I wish you were here, of course,” she said.

“I will be,” he said.

“Isn’t it crazy how something like this just makes you put everything in perspective in life?” Shellie Zimmerman said. “It’s amazing how insignificant the things we stress out over are.”

“I agree,” he said.

Actually hate. Especially contrasted with the photo of Trayvon, dead on the wet ground, the rain drumming on the tarp covering him.

I think she meant, don't the things we USED to stress over seem insignificant now that we are facing this prison sentence....

That's the way I interpret it anyway. Not that the murder itself was insignificant.

I believe she was basically saying, "we USED to think we had problems...now we know what REAL problems are.."

I imagine most people who are sitting in jail and facing murder charges would give anything to go back to complaining about having car trouble or waiting in line at the post office.

It's a common theme. When you're life goes off the rails, it does put things into perspective.

I'm sure Trayvon's family is feeling the same way too, only worse.

I think he deserves to be in jail and she does too, but clearly she meant that now they had a real issue to stress out over as opposed to before now.

They are talking about two passports - GZ says "hold on to THEM," not "hold on to THAT" as previously transcribed.

Shellie also says "Because what you told me to do yesterday would then mean that I need to go and get that out."

Were they planning a trip?
