Shirley, you must be shitting me: Coulter wannabe SE Cupp "rotating anchor" in Ratigan's MSNBC spot

MSNBC 3 PM: S.E. Cupp, Steve Kornacki Reportedly Among Rotating Cast Of Anchors For New Show

MSNBC will replace Dylan Ratigan's 4 PM show with a new program featuring a rotating cast of anchors, Politico reported on Sunday.

Ratigan abruptly announced earlier in June that he was leaving the network, saying he wanted to concentrate on other things. On Sunday, Politico said that MSNBC will elevate some of its regular contributors to hosting gigs, including Salon writer Steve Kornacki and conservative commentator S.E. Cupp.

The move would follow MSNBC's by-now-standard formula of grooming its contributors for hosting duties (it's how Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes, Alex Wagner, Lawrence O'Donnell and Melissa Harris-Perry, to name just a few, got their current jobs). The choice of Cupp, who also works for Glenn Beck's online GBTV network, would inject a shot of conservatism into the lineup.

Moreover, MSNBC could be taking a page out of Fox News' book. That network replaced Beck's show with "The Five," which features a rotating ensemble of hosts, to much success.

MSNBC is a moderate channel AT BEST. This would vault it to Center-Right.

Meanwhile, the Repubs already have two confirmed propaganda arms that are 100% in their corner (Faux and CNBC) and even more compliant/conservative friendly networks in CNN, Bloomberg, ABC, NBC and CBS.

Once they've brought her on board, she could pop up anywhere.

Sort of like they did with that old racist Pat Buchanan.

She's been on every show...except maybe Reverend Al's...at one time or another. This was a real shock, and I'm sure MSNBC is ready for a flood of negative feedback, but you know what they say about "no such thing as "bad" publicity..."
