I believe this guys neck is "undocumented".

Criticizing President Obama’s decision to grant immunity and temporary legal status to some young undocumented immigrants, Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-TX) told CNN’s Soledad O’Brien Monday that undocumented teens “had a say” in their family’s decision to travel to the U.S. illegally.

“Well, you are also talking about people that came over at 16 years of age,” Farenthold said. “At that point you had a say in it and that looks more like amnesty.”

“You think a 16-year-old whose parents are coming across the border has a say in whether or not they’re just going to stay behind in their country?” Soledad asked.

“They’re certainly in a position to have a conversation with their parents about it,” Farenthold said.

“A 16-year-old is in a position to have a conversation with their parents about coming across the border, do you think?” said Soledad, skeptically.

1. Some kids start having a say in their families much younger than 16

some families start listening to their children when they are still in elementary school. They most likely don't make major decisions that way, but certainly they give them some say and consideration. But, they are still minors and they still have to deal with what ever decisions their parents make.

So, I don't think there are many 16 year olds that can get their parents to either move to another country or get them to not move illegally or not.

4. And how many came at 16? More like 6 or younger.

Anyway a minor is a minor. Minors go where their parent's go and they are not responsible for decisions made by their parents.

Incredible. This guy must have just fallen off of the Tea Party Bus when it stopped in Washington, D.C.

Please tell me that this guy hasn't been in Congress for more than 18 months.

There may be some truth in this, of course, but the Big Lie here is that the notion will be used as an excuse. Because some kids might have "had a say," the far right will eagerly write off all of them.

Yes, there probably are gray areas, and the bigots will seize on every opportunity to whittle away at human rights.

EDIT: And we could do without all the fat jokes in this thread. Leave the Othering to the GOP, please.
