Help: The K o c h B r o s. are stalking me!

Ever since I googled Koch Brothers exposed to get the new movie by Robert Greenwald 2 weeks ago, I have had big banner ads on every screen I go to with "PROPAGANDIST ROBERT G RE EN WALD TOTALLY DEBUNKED" or "ROBERT GREENWALD LIES" and many more with their website Kochfacts dot com.

How do I get rid of this stalking Koch banner?
And I'd like to pay these filthy rich evil scumbags back by asking everybody to please go to Brave new Foundation and get his movie exposing the Koch Brothers.
They must be spending millions to try to keep people from buying/watching the film.
When you google koch B ros exposed the first listing that comes up is "Robert Greenwald exposed"!.

I have absolutely nothing to do with Greenwald's company or film. I just cant stand the filthy Koch Brothers and what they are doing to the planet and America.

9. Keep in mind, when you block ads

You are also preventing independent small business sites from generating income, which comes from ads. They depend on that income to pay bills. Blocking all ads will put people out of work.

12. The host site only gets income if you click on the ads -->

otherwise it's just advertising the guest advertiser is paying for to the 3rd party affiliate program.

With the internet one has a choice whether to endure ads or not, so it's really a matter of personal preference. It doesn't take a dime from anyone, since it's a safe assumption that those who choose to block ads are the same ones who would never click on them.

15. Not true.

It depends on the type of ad.

Sites can receive income when ads are clicked, or only when you click the ad then buy something, yet other ads pay by impression. And since ads rotate, you can't tell what type of ad it is just by looking.

Blocking ads on websites puts people out of jobs.

They said the same thing about the spotted owl.

Besides, they seem to be getting their money's worth outta their sockpuppets.

17. Don't be surprised when you can't look at sites in the future

Webmasters are considering going to pay for access, or refusing access if ad blockers are installed. Enjoy your restricted access.

Just like DU, it costs money to put a site online. Nothing is free.

Small businesses thank you for your concern, as do former employees of failed internet businesses.

2. Have you tried clearing your history and deleting your cookies?

Maybe download Spybot and run it on your computer to get rid of the malware you may have picked up?

I limited it to just the past 4 weeks and the banners are finally gone! I also cleaned the disc and downloaded Adaware. I bot this PC 3 months ago and have been procrastinating all these things.

And yes the first response is the KochBros site, but it's a paid advert, so actually if you want to get even, click it and cost them a bit.

But in fairness to google, all other listings on the first page are cleanly and clearly what I asked for with the film site being the first un-sponsored link.

Sorry, I don't like hype. What you typed is accurate, but clearly hyped.

6. Don't use the google

www.ixquick.com

I've been using it for years. They don't record your ip, nor do they bombard you with targeted ads from information they glean from your previous searches.

As previous posters mentioned, Adblock helps too.

10. Good point. But they are each worth $25 billion or more now.

This google campaign would probably be like a penny or less to ave. American.
Ha, I just heard Hartmann answer "Who is John Galt?" "its the KOCH BROTHERS and the rest of the top .01%".

People dont realize how insidiously evil and pernicious the Koch bros are.
I have been constantly clashing with Koch Bros funded front groups for the past 15 years mostly locally. I think they are two of THE most dangerous people in the world. THey fight every city in the nation against mass transit light-rail, modern urban planning and many more issues. I'm so sick of these evil bastards and their toadies battling every step of progress locally and nationwide and planet.
