win the pennant this year. Last night they made good on that.

According to local media in Chicago, it occasioned some traffic problems in the Wrigleyville area that would make Chris Christie swoon.

They're the Cubs!!! Who the fuck loses a pennant race to the freaking Cubs!

Um, wait, don't answer that..

I have some transplant friends that I may have given a little crap to over the last couple of decades concerning the Cubbies.. I'm pretty sure they won't remember any of it..

to see a baseball game at Wrigley Field.

I'm not a Cubs fan, but my god what a wonderful place to see a game.

A lot of history to appreciate obviously, but Wrigley is a shithole. Of course its a bit more hostile environment when you wear a red StL hat so I'm probably not the most unbiased source.

World Series a lot more than the Cubs. So when local Chicago media reported the exuberant celebration last night, I understood why the needle was vibrating on the elation index.

I like Fenway best of all standing parks. But I love Wrigley. For this Giants fan, a game at Wrigley is a slip through a portal back into times past.

Cubs fans are some of the best in baseball. They deserve this.

This Cardinals fan says go Cubbies.

It's a blast going to Cards games where thousands of Cubs fans attend. It's good fun interacting with good people from the other side. The Cubs hadn't won a Pennant since 13 years before the Dodgers moved to LA. I wish their fans well. None of them have ever seen their team win the World Series.

I have a different orifice in mind for you and the soap.

This is truly a great World Series. Two teams who can remove decades of suffering for their fans. As a generational Red Sox fan, I can appreciate the excitement fans of both these teams are experiencing. The Red Sox had not won a World Series since 1918 and finally won in 2004 under manager Terry Francona, then again in 2007 and 2013.

As an AL fan, and because Terry Francona is the Cleveland Indians manager, I'm rooting for the Indians. But in truth, I will be happy for the fans and team no matter who wins.
