Native Americans in The Monongahela Culture

" In the Ohio Country, as the Europeans referred to the northern territories west of the Allegheny Mountains, organized Native American settlements began about 1000 BC. The tribes that occupied this part of the continent were centered near the Scioto and Ohio rivers, and their influence reached into present-day Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and New York."

Move when your lifestyle is unsustainable.

If you want territory and land with more resources, kill to the point of genocide to expand your mercantile empire and keep the subservient peoples subservient and weaken your enemies. If the Iroquois were European or in Asia or Africa, we'd refer to them not as a "confederacy" but as "empire."

At least it's a rational perspective on things. Just not the usual perspective.
