Is a black Trump supporter like a Jewish Nazi?

Last edited Wed Oct 26, 2016, 06:15 PM - Edit history (1)

I've occasionally seen one or two black people standing behind Trump at his rallies. I don't know whether they're being paid a lot, accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up in the wrong place, or if they are truly backing a madman who hates them (along with many others).

There were Jews who did the bidding of Nazis in the concentration camps in order to survive. And who can fault them for this? And yes, I know, Trump is not Hitler. Nonetheless...

I can't comprehend how any black person or Hispanic person, or Muslim person, or Jewish person, or any other minority person in America can support Trump. I really don't need to expound upon his racism, bigotry and pure hatred of "The Other." But I'd really like someone to explain to me why anyone whom Trump has spit upon and dissed would back him.

A black man supporting Trump is more analogous to non-racist, poor white woman supporting Trump.

I don't think the German people back in the 1930s really anticipated the insane extremism of Hitler. They were suffering through a worldwide depression and thought that the Adolf nut would fix things for them. I doubt if too many of them were thinking in terms of world wars, genocide, or the total lunacy that he brought about on an unprecedented scale.

What will it take for people to recognize Trump for the dangerous, extremist madman he is? If he were to become president, would the first book burning be a clue?

That heating pot with the frog in it is a cautionary tale. I for one don't want to let that water get any hotter. I therefore question anyone who favors Trump. Especially those he has singled out for his venomous hatred.

He is ultimately just another angry ex-military gun nut who thinks gang members are coming for his family.

Actually, I shouldn't say that. As long as the subjects of politics and crime don't come up he is a really nice guy. But he is obsessed with crime, despite living in Rancho Santa Margarita which is roughly as afflicted by crime as McMurdo Antarctica.

The daily life of the young Hans Massaquoi was remarkable. He was one of the few mixed race children in Nazi Germany, and like most of the other children his age, he thought about joining the Hitler Youth. There was a school contest to see if a class could get a 100% membership of the Deutsches Jungvolk (a subdivision of Hitler Youth), and Massaquoi's teacher devised a chart on the blackboard which showed who had joined and who had not. As this was filled in after each person joined, Massaquoi felt left out, and he recalled saying, "But I am German ... my Mother says I'm German just like anybody else". He then persuaded his mother to let him join the Jungvolk. He went to register at the nearest office but he faced hostility.

People want to feel included in a community, even when they are excluded from a community.

Propaganda and lies are effective, and the party that supports Trump effectively uses both to get uninformed and misinformed on their side.

People voting against their own best interest is a common feature of U.S. politics.

Trump can suck with out being compared to Hitler.

These sort of comparisons are silly.
