By coddling the Bundy Klan

They allowed them to walk.

If the Feds had moved in and attempted to retake the Refuge then the Klan would have fought back thus eliminating this verdict we now see. At least they could have cut the water and power.

Many of us were stunned they got to stay there and destroy property for 41 days.

At least move in on them until they start fighting at least to establish a case.
That what it's apparently come to.

They were charged with "conspiring to impede federal workers from their jobs." What? They weren't even charged with a basic destruction of federal property. If my black ass had done what the Bundy crew did, it would have taken the court a full day just to read the list of charges the prosecutor would have filed against me. This, assuming I survived the hail of bullets law enforcement would have rained down on me the moment I came out to chat about "terms."

Edit to add: They were also charged with possession of a firearm on federal property. Only the jury can explain the acquittal on that one, A-mazing.

5. The verdict is (sadly) technically correct: They did not keep people from doing their job.

IIRC none of the people working at the refuge showed up for work and was forced to leave. They didn't show up for work at all once they heard it was occupied by armed guys.

Lesson learned. Next time the white-wing militia types pull such stunts, bring in the tanks and the SWAT teams and give no quarter.

10. There is no lesson to be learned from this. Every situation set up by The Deplorables is different.
