If Trumpistas start violence, what recourse do we have under the National Emergencies Act?

Looks like it would give the President very sweeping powers to quell any violence. At least from my glances at it.

Passed in 1976, it has been used in many situations in the past. The Iranian hostage crisis and Hurricane Katrina appear to be examples.

If the race is called early in the evening for Hillary, I wouldn't be surprised if there's rioting.

...when one must not simply participate in democracy to make it work, but one must rise up to defend democracy.

Like during the Civil War. The South did not like the results of a democratic election, namely the one that elected Abraham Lincoln, so they raised their weapons and started shooting. The rest of this nation, the part that was fed up with slavery, had to get up, fight, and protect this nation and protect democracy, and they had to prosecute the War of Southern Treason until the South was bloodied and battered into submission.

Took a war that cost thousands of lives, but absolutely worth it.
