Rightwing news sites are more likely to report fake news. The the Fake stories hurt the people who believe them and share them. The fakes stories reinforce the beliefs of mainly conservative voters and keep them in a bubble away from the truth. The stories reinforce the beliefs that people want to believe about the opposite party.
This pretty much is true from what I see at work and the stupids comments they make. They vett zero facts they spout. Google, snopes and hoax would clear up some but they do not even do that. There needs to be way to stop fake news sites. The one I see alot is NewsMax.

(54,770 posts)I grew up with a bunch of white wingers, at least half of them remain that way today. I see junk they post that any fool could factcheck in a second if they really cared to spread the truth.
They all seem to be right wing. With this and all the things we see unfolding before our eyes makes Hillary quote about about the vast right wing conspiracy was true. It did not help that The United States allowed Nazis into our country after WWll. They brought them over because of science and to fight "communism".

The biggest problem has been the systematic descrimination that was institutionalised to keep the groups apart so they could be more easily controlled.
