Trouble in Triple Creek

This is an article about the continuing battle we face here in my hometown. It has continued, now, through several election cycles. It's impacting our lives in many, many negative ways, and our objections are routinely ignored or dismissed by the county commissioners, by planning agencies, and others whose sworn allegiance to citizens has been transferred instead to the big-money extraction industry. When you have a few minutes, please read. They are destroying our way of life, and setting a deadly precedent for any corporate interest to act against citizens in any state at any time. ....... We have three Democrats on the ballot for the board of county commissioners; we're hoping that at least one is elected, breaking a 25-year lock by Republicans. Wish us luck. ~ Madamesilverspurs

"...But the realpolitik of the task force’s membership, and the requirement of a two-thirds majority vote to pass new rules, effectively gave the energy industry veto power over any decisions."
