Some pollster has studied it very closely and said 28% of Republicans were voting for Hillary Clinton?
If that is true, that could make the difference in the election. God forbid that we end up with the Florida "solution" again.
But it is comforting to think that there are some sane Republicans still left? It might end up with the Republican women voters saving our Republic? Even though they would put a Democrat, a woman, in the White House, it would be a deed of great social conscience.

(58,660 posts)obviously, if that trend continued to the rest of the nation, it would be an epic beatdown of Trump. Probably won't continue at those levels, but.....
Lately there have been discussions about a potential "shy Trump" vote that would belie and overturn the current polling, which is virtually all in Clinton's favor. I suspect, like most Repub projections, that they fear a "shy Clinton" vote, in which Repubs are afraid to discuss openly what they really think of their candidate, and by extension their party, but in the sanctity and anonymity of the voting booth, will punch the button for Clinton. It's one reason I still pretty much expect a landslide in the 350 EV range, at least.
Yeah, I'm kind of betting that there are a few sane Repubs left in our great country.

(26,044 posts)still, it seems like a very high number. I remember, back in 2004, that certain Republicans decided to tell exit pollsters they'd voted for Kerry, just to mess up the exit polls. I hope that isn't happening again on a larger scale.
