(12,213 posts)I live in Southern California.
My neighbor was born and raised here.
My neighbor is a Tea Bagger.
I heard him all night cheering on the Indians.
Now I know why.
And now I'm ALLLLLL the happier the Cubs won.
Now onto putting the Clintons back in the White House, too!!!

(1,151 posts)incredible game that it was on both sides. But as it was, this Cubs fan was a nervous wreck until that final out. When Cleveland tied the game I almost got sick. Whew! What a win!

(12,213 posts)I live in a townhouse.
I had one neighbor to the left of me who would holler in a low voice whenever the Cubs would score.
Another neighbor to the right of me would hoot whenever the Indians scored.
That's how I kept score when I wasn't watching.
BTW: there was an important Cubs' pitch (in the 5th I think it was)that was definitely strike three. I don't know what the ump saw. He's a pro, and I was surprised he called it a ball.

(4,353 posts)if the Cubs won? CONGRATS Chicago!!!
Yes, it seems the Cubs are Hillary's team. After all she was born in Chicago just a few miles north of Wrigley Field. Someone in another post noted that the Cubs had not been in the world series since '45 (lost that one) and our next President, Madam President Clinton will be #45!

Bill Murray told a story to one of the Chicago radio guys yesterday: The hotel he's been in for 3 days tells him the room rate is going from $800 per night to $1600. Murray says it's not about the money, he's got money, it's just wrong.
So, as he's thinking about what to do, he's go up to his room and realizes he's in room 2016. He told himself, "i'm good!"

(1,132 posts)A lot of teams would have resigned themselves to defeat after that heartbreaking 8th inning, but they stuck with it and found a way to win.
Awesome sports moment, one of the best I've ever seen.

Every baseball game is so unique.
Happy for Chicago. Amazing comeback.
Happy for Cleveland too. They played their hearts out & can stand tall.
