The epitome of tough, no nonsense, working class people. I wasn't born there, but lived there from 81 to 92. I am proud to say that it is my (adopted) hometown.

but before you, late '60's -'70's, in Hyde Park, during which I attended law school. A major part of my 'growing up.' (Born in NYC, and DC after Chicago.)

my mom died in 81 when I was 13, and I went with my grandparents. Left at 24. I miss so much about it. The food, the MetroParks, the downtown library are just a few things.

Glad you enjoyed it. I went just after college, and circumstances resulted in Chicago and friends and events occurring then shaped my life hugely.

in my high school American Lit class to see Billy Budd and Death of a Salesman. The city really benefitted in the 20s when some rich people decided that Cleveland needed a theater, symphony, and arts. The MetroParks circle the city in green, and was really enjoyable year round, but especially in autumn. The rich ethnic diversity made for a varied cuisine. I really miss the Cleveland exclusive- Polish Boys:

but Blossom Music Center was the best place to see concerts. I saw the Allman Brothers there- better live than on album.

Congratulations to the Cubs! The Indians made it one of the best series to watch. I would not be surprised to see Cleveland winning the next one. I love both cities. Culturally, they actually have a lot in common.
