The only poll that means anything is the electoral college. Do yourself a favor and ignore the popular polls the networks are blasting out. Those don't mean anything, it's just to keep you watching.

There's a bunch of them here. Princeton has Hillary at 317! You need 270 to win.

but if they have to tie themselves into knots imagining various scenarios for Trump to get to 270 electoral votes, I'd say that the odds are NOT in his favor.

4. Yes, I've seen Steve Kornacki do his Gordian Knot of what-ifs to get Trump to 270.

He does it EVERY F**KING DAY and sometimes 4 or 5 times a day, if called upon by other show anchors. It has switched from becoming informative to really annoying.

And what's up with that rolled up paper he is always carrying but not reading from?

Yet, I digress.

It is the poker equivalent of getting exactly a spade suit royal flush while every other player gets no better than ace high.

Trump needs all the Romney states (he's having trouble in 4 of them).

Trump needs to get 6 Obama blue states (he's only probably got 1 of them for sure).

Trump needs to win Florida (looks 50-50 at best for him).

Hillary has 274 EV right now *WITHOUT* Ohio, and those "toss-ups" not decided.

25 million people (or about 20% of the expected vote) have already voted in early voting BEFORE the Comey announcement on Friday. Hillary has a big advantage in that vote.

2. Use Ocam's Razor

Is it more likely that Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will win next week? Considering all of the evidence presented to date, I say that Hillary is MUCH more likely to win than Trump. I will hold on to that until next week.

5. As another poster on this forum said yesterday

Chuck Todd was at his map dividing his electoral college states and he uttered the media's new favorite phrase:


"Let's just give it to Trump any way."

That's what it takes to get Trump to 270 in any example. You have to ignore all information and objective data and "just give states to Trump any way" for him to win.
