Sure wish there could be a way that we could get a law which would force congress to at least
acknowledge/discuss President’s choice for Supreme Court.

power of the People reside in Congress.

The problem has been, the People haven't been educated on the fact that Congress is the most powerful branch of our 3-branch gov't, since M$M continued to propagate and conflate that the president is the most powerful as head of the most powerful military in the world to his powers as president (which are easily curbed by Congress), creating an illusion that his presidential powers are akin to that of a dictator.

thing for the British people. Not so good for Putin who was behind the propaganda to get the British to vote for it.

Lots of BAD Propositions in California that have been voted on by California voters (like Prop 187 and Prop 8) and were then found unconstitutional and overturned, and I say good riddance to those horrible propositions that were based on bigotry and confusing language for the average California voter.

The moment it was announced that Parliament has the final say, the pound shot up in value, meaning, if BREXIT succeeds, the pound sterling will crash.

Is exactly what Putin wants. Same here, Putin wants us to crash and burn economically.

Sometimes legislators get it wrong or refuse to address issues that are no longer relevant, wanted/needed and propositions are necessary to force change. Marijuana legalization and euthanasia come to mind. Though those decisions do not invalidate federal law, they often do force change both legally and culturally.

Huh, and all this time I'd thought you had better-than-average political knowledge. I guess politics, law and history can be difficult topics people will struggle with.

It will soon be Mayday for Theresa. Guardian has a great report on today's court victory. It's not over yet but Parliamentary Supremacy has meaning.
