GOP Wants To Set Up Health System Where People Die For Lack Of Health Care. It's OK.

As far as GOP is concerned it is ok if sick people die for lack of health care. If they cannot afford doctors or medicine it is their choice. They got sick and it was their fault. If they do not have coverage they chose not to have it because they did not work hard enough to get it. And they made decisions that cause them to get sick. So there is no obligation to have them covered.

After all health care like a lot of other things like clean air, safe waters, and livable environment is a privilege for the deserving who have earned it through hard work.

The health care system they are proposing would only cover the most wealthy and protected people. A decent living is not for everyone. Too many takers burden the system.

By the way we already have some of the GOP system in red states where there is NO Medicaid expansion.

copays and their meds and die.

It's reality.

Lobbyists have a lot of power in our country.

Yes, the republicans want to make it even worse. But, it's pretty horrible right now.

The GOP health care model is ALL BULLSHIT. Most of the country would NOT have health care. Only about 25% would really have coverage if you really look at what they want.

I have a crappy option, and a worse option this year for health insurance because no one is offering. The copays are way more than we generally spend in a year for health care. I'll have to spend about $10,000 this year in order to use the insurance I pay for.

I still think insurance companies should be obligated to participate in the marketplace if it's a requirement that we buy. It's kind of hard to get insurance if no one is offering any.

Republicans. Healthcare is a human right. A friend of my brother was a nurse in Florida, and the hospital where she worked fired her for taking too many days off to have chemo. How depraved and barbaric is that ? Where's the basic human decency ? Of course she died, she couldn't afford the medicine and the bank was foreclosing on her modest home. First world country, even a 3rd world country would have more decency.

Right. A family can't afford to buy an insurance policy, but somehow they can sock enough money away to pay for more than a bandaid and a tube of Neosporin when tragedy strikes.

My copay was still $2500. Fortunately we could afford it. However, my bill was around $250,000. Plus prosthetics are around $10,000. Now I was 70 but in good shape. Even though diabetic no symptoms and in control. No problems at all with my legs either. I could walk as long as I wanted and would walk about 25 miles a week playing golf.

But what if you are young and you have a problem that costs? Or for that matter are still working. I have a doctor friend who had a melanoma that was excised. Diagnosed with lymphoma and went through a year of therapy. Finally went back to work. Now the cancer came back. He is in his mid 50's.

The GOP plan is just death if you get seriously ill. They also want to trash seniors too.
