Was at ER with him chest pains and all he is worried about is working the polls on Tuesday! I am worried sick about him. He spent all day yesterday trying to get the proper ID for someone to vote!!!

Of course, all heart attacks are unique. I hope his outcome is equal to or better than mine.

Now the problem is known the miracle of modern medicine can do its job.
Get well soon, Johnnyringo!!

(6,096 posts)I lost my husband 10 years ago. He was 78...I still miss him every day. I really hope he can
let someone come up and give him his voting papers. Surely some preacher, or lawyer (for free
of course) could do this for him. My heart goes out to you and everyone in the family!!!

Your handle reminded me of this hidden Todd Rundgren gem, called Johnee Jingo.
This A Capella song addresses Jingoism, or the bigoted actions that cause people to defend borders and wage wars. The propaganda that right wingers use to justify the mass slaughter of others, the promotion of the Military Industrial Complex, etc.. When in reality, they are fights brought on by overt racism.
He lied about it for the opportunity
To defend the border his life was sworn
Though not a generation was native born
Johnee Jingo
Johnee Jingo
He had lost the battle but won the war
When the generals said he couldn't fight no more
He was proud and bitter at what he'd done
So he passed it off to his favorite son
Johnee Jingo
Johnee Jingo
Jingo don't you fight for me
Jingo don't you speak for me
To the man who owns the land
We're all the same
But when his grip begins to slip
Then he'll be calling out your name
Johnee Jingo
And the throne, the pulpit, and the politician
Create a thirst for power in the common man
It's a taste for blood passed off as bravery
Or just patriotism hiding bigotry
Stay strong, and best wishes!
