as I'm sure you know by now, there was no conspiracy. One Republican protester holding up a dangerous piece of paper, with words on it and everything, was getting beaten up by the Trump mob. They were holding him down and choking him apparently. The only reason the Secret Service rushed Bubbleboy off stage was that one separate idiot screamed gun where there wasn't one around.

This incident doesn't fit Trump's narrative. This was a white guy, a Republican against Trump, carrying nothing but a sign. Somebody yelling "Gun!" might have been staged, but the Secret Service doesn't play those kinds of games, and their procedures required them to hustle Trump off the stage. If Trump had wanted to continue the illusion of an assassination attempt he wouldn't have come back on stage and would have had his private security clear the building. I think he's just trying to take advantage of a minor disruption and make it look like something it wasn't.
