In any normal election year, the current poll numbers would make me feel good about this election. It is just that the stakes are so high in this election.

I think Comey cost us several Senate seats by reducing Dem leads in a few states.
I think we now get 50 or 51 seats instead of 53-54 in Senate.
We gain 10 House seats instead of 20.
I hate Comey.

...a fascist demagogue has about a 20-25% chance of becoming President of the United States. If he's elected, the United States will cease to be a liberal democracy, and quite literally, the American Experiment will have failed in the end. How can we not be worried about this?

I remember back when it was Kerry vs. Bush and we were so sure that Kerry would win. When the election was called for Bush I couldn't believe it. I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach. It seemed like a nightmare to me. This time, should Trump for some strange reason be the victor, it will be a nightmare for all of us.

There are way too many ignorant clowns in this country for me to not be worried. I do love what Ralston said about NV, though. That's pretty huge.

I have thought this was in the bag since before the primaries. The country is just not demographicly friendly to the Republican party any more in national elections, and Trump has made that problem worse for them

That said Hillary has issues of her own and I could be wrong.

I still think this is a blowout but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous.

to put an end to the obstructionism we've seen against Obama and that Republicans will take
their obstructionism up a notch against Hillary.

So, yes, I am worried. And I am worried that white supremacists in this country have been encouraged
to become terrorists by Trump.

The parallels to the Brexit vote is all too obvious for me.
Also, the ol' "who wants it more" momentum worries me. We on the left tend to be rational, logical people who simply can't fathom how a trump win can occur. We rely on our overwhelming belief, like Anne Frank, that people are mostly good.
However, all I see out there these last few days are the deplorables on street corners and at outside the bounds election sites with their faux patriotic apparel and signs. These people really want this. We do too of course, but our make-up is different - we almost, I dare say, expect to win. I smugly laugh at the so-called "patriots" promoting a candidate that will promote the rise - of all things - fascism in our society. But they're mobilized, enthused, and utterly brainless about the reality and consequences of their enthusiasm.
What happens when people disappear into the booth? I can't say. Of course, I expect people to do the right thing - and therein lies the problem.
I view it as a toss-up today. I so very much hope that I'm so wrong about this.

I'm worried about not getting a long, tedious project done on time.

I'm worried about one of my students, homeless and sleeping in a tent.

I'm worried about another student, suffering severe emotional abuse from his parents.

I'm worried about the long drive down and back to my family during Thanksgiving week, and if the ice and snow will hold off until then.

I'm worried about the time change, and the way my life tends to fall apart during the months I never get to see my home during daylight hours except on weekends.

Worried about the election? No.
