Such a shock to hear about Gwen. It is still sinking in.
And as for Leon Russell, I have been a fan for decades. My late sister was, also, and during her last months, one of the things that could take her mind off of what was happening to her was to listen to Leon Russell. I now have her CDs, but can't quite bring myself to play them, yet.

(26,286 posts)And there are still 6 weeks left to 2016.
Last year I lost my sister, mother and aunt and felt like I lost my heart. This year, with all of the wonderful artists we've lost, I feel as if I've lost my soul.

(3,488 posts)I always liked watching her. So smart and articulate. When she came back from her break I told my husband, I think she has cancer because her face looked bloated and she was wearing a wig. When she recently went absent, I felt that she must not be doing good. But yesterday's news still came as a shock. You should watch Don Lemon's tribute to her from last night. It will make you cry.
