Someone please explain why Ivanka & her husband were at Trumps meeting with the Japanese PM

This should, IMHO, be EVERYWHERE. Breaking news. Front page. He can't go anywhere or do anything without his family. If Hillary had rolled into things with Chelsea, there would have been rioting. If Barack took Michelle into business meetings... oy vey. This President Elect needs the human equivalent of a wubby blanket to do anything.

He's in so fucking far over his head. Did the Republicans unknowingly vote for Jared Kushner as President?

Wild.

Or why Trump needed Melania to hold his hand at the capital when meeting the Rethug leadership last Thursday???

It's fucking creepy that he can't do jack shit without his approved minions at his side.

It's such a hoot to have a prez elect who is already actively oppressing the 4th estate because his narcissism will not countenance any evaluation short of fawning praise and adulation. It bids so well for coming events.

News flash for the brain surgeons among us; when Trump tells the press to fuck off, he's telling YOU to fuck off. When he suppresses the free press it is your freedom he finds untenable.

Holding the media accountable is one thing; "loving" Trump's actions against them is quite another, and ill-conceived thing altogether.

And you know what?
I think it's good.
In the long run.
The last President who so blatantly disregarded and disrespected the press was none other than Dick Nixon.
How'd that work out again?

Let's not pretend that Trump would be doing anything other than giving us the finger, even if he WAS letting the press in the way he is supposed to. Bottom line, they are responsible for this. Now they can deal with the bullshit the rest of us are going to have to.

I'm about the long term. If him shafting them brings a return of TRUE journalism...
How is that bad?

That somehow he will exceed expectations? Because he's not going to. And it would be to our benefit as Americans if the press WOKE THE FUCK UP and did some actual reporting.

This is flat-out dangerous for the country for him to do any of this. And his veep-elect NaziPrick isn't even bothering to tell him to knock this shit off.

Ivanka and her husband should have been nowhere near that meeting, which shouldn't have taken place in the first damn place.

*sighs* Gonna be a long four years. Unless he gets us nuked first.

People joked about Ivanka running. At certain points she had a higher rating than him during the campaigning. Now he's going to keep her in front of the cameras and in front of the GOP.

Just my two cents.
